Hi, we are looking into polishing both FC/PC and FC/APC fibre connectors. Do we need both the FC/APC NOVA™ Workholder and NOVA™ Universal UPC Workholder for FC/SC/ST/LC/MU/SMA Connectors, or does the universal workholder cover FC/APC too?

Both terms are used in the polisher industry to describe the same device that holds connectors, termini, adapters, etc., and engage with a base polishing machine.

Yes, but the tube diameter must be between 1mm and 3.2mm.

I currently have a 4 position UVG Workholder used for NOVA, but would like to upgrade to 8 positions eventually. Is this possible to do?
A
Yes, you will just need to send your current workholder in to be upgraded, re-aligned and re-calibrated. This will take about a week upon receipt of workholder.

No, but Krell does offer MT, MTP, MTx workholder jigs.

Yes. This workholder fixture will support all UPC style components that have a ferrule diameter range from 1mm to 3.2mm.
